PPS Annual Winter Bash Info!

You have expressed interest in participating in the planning committee for the 2023 PPS Winter Bash (or I have cajoled you into the idea of participating). Kristin & I are the co-chairs for the next TWO YEARS--yikes!! But we want to absolutely make these next two years the absolute BEST! We're not asking you for a two year commitment but we're hoping you'll find it so much fun & rewarding to share your unique talents that you'll be on board again next year!
What's the time commitment---honestly, that depends upon the committee. As a group we will get together once in December, and likely twice in Jan & Feb. The committees will likely meet virtually. The decor committee will be building the "sets" along with volunteers--Kristin has some pretty big plans that will be super fun for those who love to create!
What: 2023 Winter Bash
Where: TBD (Both the Cranston Street Armory and the Kresge building are in the running.)
Date: Saturday, March 4, 2023
Theme: "Through the Looking Glass"
Depending on the location, the theme (thank you Kristin and Jess!) could easily lend itself to several different named rooms or areas such as:
- Down the Rabbit Hole
- Mad Hatter Tea Party
- Queen of Hearts (VIP area?)
- Caterpillar's Garden
And some possible activities might include - mini golf, giant chess game board, or croquet.
Committee Option: select one or more from the following list:
- Decor/Music/Entertainment (Kristin and Jess, committee chairs)
- Marketing/Social Media (we do not have a committee head for this yet--and need one!)
- Restaurants/Food (Karen Lemke and Bob Rhault, committee chairs)
- Sponsorship (Angela)
- Volunteers (Caitlin Sylvia)
- Photographers, securing and scheduling

Once you have committed to a committee(s), the the respective chair will contact you to schedule a meeting, hopefully in the next few weeks, thus allowing us to schedule another full committee meeting in early to mid-December.
